Reflection
Overall, the content of my speech was good. However, the speech itself was not good because I showed my unstable emotion, nervousness and fear, to the audience from the beginning of speech. My mind and the body and face was moving oppositely because, although my mind knew how I should behave physically and facially in front of the audience, I realized that my facial and body expression was showing that I was feeling uncomfortable speaking on the stage. I was shaking my hands and arms and I could not often have an constant eye contact with the audience properly. Most of the time, I was looking at the paper. However, I noticed that I was getting comfortable as time goes by. Next time, I should practice on overcoming the pressure from the audience.
Although I delivered my contents clearly and made sure that everybody understood, the atmosphere of my speech was not good because it did not fill the class with willingness and motivation, which convince and lead the audience to participate. It felt as if I was reading it to myself because I did not often have eye contact with the audience. Most of the time, I was looking at my paper. Also, it fell like I was preaching like a pastor, instead of having a speech because I focused too much on delivering the message clearly and understandably for every one. I was incompetent with convincing the audience with my outward appearance. Next time, if I have a chance to speak to the audience again, I should also concern about the mood and attention of audience. If I had spoke more actively and passionately through, not only by speaking, but also by body language, instead of being stationary behind the desk, It would have been more convincing and motivating speech to the audience. Also, it would not have looked frustrating if I had spoke more freely and comfortably.
